Nokia phone reviews The Nokia R&D team is in full swing with the new Nokia aeon, a concept phone that is actually a touchscreen covering the entire body of the phone. Now that's what I call a phone. Could this be the cell phone of my dreams?

This futuristic phone looks yummy, but only time will tell when we can actually buy something like this. With a full-body touchscreen, I bet the screen protector companies will have a fun time.

The concept phone, dubbed Aeon, combines two touch-sensitive panels mounted on a fuel-cell power pack. The handset’s connectivity and electronics are built into the panels to allow them to be used independently.

Assembled, one panel would operate as the display, the other as the keypad. Since the buttons are entirely touch screen display, Aeon can flip instantly between a numeric pad for dialing, a text-entry pad for messaging, or a media-player controller. If it’s as cool as they say then maybe we can begin to forgive them for the navigator or communicator thing that they came out with.

Nokia phone reviews Although Nokia was one of the originators of the mobile handset, Little Richard can attest (as the original originator) that it’s hard to keep the flame burning for a long time. In a nutshell, that’s what happened to Nokia. In the 1990s Nokia ruled the mobile handset game with an Iron Fist and took no prisoners.

But in the last 10 years or so they have been lagging behind and now find themselves being “called” for by the mob that has now taken over (Motorola, LG, Blackberry, etc). Now with the arrival of the iPhone, they are really in some deep doo doo. Think Nokia! Think! Ok got it.

We will come out with a concept phone that looks like it belongs to Mr. Spock. Ladies and gentlemen, without further adu and a decade of sucky phones, I am pleased to present to you the Nokia Aeon Concept Phone. Finally, a phone that doesn’t look like a keyboard.
