The original King of Fighters games set the benchmark for all other fighting games around the world.
The game features a standard roster of 4 SNK fighters: Kyo, Athena, Mai and Terry. Each has his/her own special ability (used by pressing the block button, followed by a movement button then punch). Although the basic moves are in place (punch, kick, jump, block).
The graphics in King of Fighters are quite sharp, and some nice effects are put in play. Whilst it won’t be the prettiest game you play all year, the background images are well detailed and the combo effects look good. The character sprites are also well detailed
